Yesterday Samsung officially announced the new Galaxy Note 7, “The smartphone that thinks big.” Following in the footsteps of the hugely successful Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the new Galaxy Note 7 boasts premium materials, a huge 5.7” Quad HD Dual edge Super AMOLED display, IP68 water resistant design, an enhanced S Pen experience, and a brand new iris scanner for enhanced levels of security. Galaxy Note7 strikes a balance between work and play, enabling people to do more than what they thought possible on a smartphone.

One of the biggest features that has always separated the Galaxy Note line from the rest of the Galaxy devices is the use of the S Pen. New software also allows you to take notes on your Note 7 while the screen is off in addition to a new translate features that looks pretty neat.

While the Galaxy Note 7 will still have a fingerprint scanner, users can now also make use of iris scanning technology to unlock their devices, unlock Secure Folders from prying eyes, and use it to authenticate secure purchases.
