Toca Boca, one of the best kid friendly developers out there, have created a new video platform entirely for children.

Toca TV marks the company’s first move into kids’ video, providing safe, age-appropriate experiences to kids on an entirely new platform. While major streaming services like YouTube and Netflix have started to create versions for kids, they weren’t initially designed for kids.

Toca TV is a reimagined video experience for kids ages 5 to 9. The interactive video platform includes thousands of original and curated videos from around the web, with more being added weekly. With Toca TV, it’s not just about the videos that are available, but the ones that aren’t. Every piece of content is handpicked and prescreened using a carefully designed scorecard to ensure it lives up to Toca Boca’s standards and  there is never third-party advertising, sponsored product placement or pre-roll.

Toca Boca worked with more than 75 independent creators and multi-channel networks including  BroadbandTV (BBTV), DreamworksTV, the kids and family brand from AwesomenessTV, Studio71, and Freedom! to license the best of what is available in kids’ video and bring it to Toca TV. Toca TV subscribers will also have access to exclusive kid-hosted shows and animated originals produced and directed by Toca Boca.

Toca TV is now globally available for iPad and iPhone on the App Store. You can download the app now and start a free trial, after which a monthly subscription of $4.99 will apply (discounts will apply for longer subscription commitments).
