I don’t play many PC games these days, mainly because it’s just so much easier to play games on a gaming console or mobile device. However, after seeing a small preview trailer of Block’hood, I knew I had to give this game a go. Developed by Plethora Project and published by Devolver Digital, Block’hood is a city building game that takes city planning and ecosystems into consideration.
Below is just s small taste of the actual game. This is Chapter 1 of Story Mode which which in itself is one of three modes you can play with in the game. Chapter 1 serves as kind of a tutorial introduction that gets you situated with the controls and how to play.
Block’hood so far doesn’t seem very difficult to pick up and the tutorial does a very good job of teaching you the basics. Aside from the gameplay, the visual style is very good and part of what drew my into the game. Same goes for the rather calming music, giving Block’hood kind of a Zen like feel to it. It all makes for a very pleasant game that so far seems quite enjoyable and relaxing.
Look for Block’hood on STEAM with a 1 week introductory price of $9.99.
