Today Samsung officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the followup to what was arguably one of the biggest disasters in Samsung’s mobile history. What was once critically acclaimed in the press, the Galaxy Note 7 fell victim to huge battery defect that cause Samsung to literally recall every single one of their units. It was a huge blow to say the least, but that didn’t deter Samsung from announcing the Galaxy Note 8, which could be their most import releases this year.
The Galaxy Note 8 is bigger with a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display lets you see more and do more. It’s faster with a new octa-core processor and 6gb of ram. And now it’s supposedly safer with Samsung’s new 8-Point Battery Safety Check – the most rigorous in the industry. Hopefully the last part there will keep and battery issues to a minimum.
Other notable features include a dual 12MP rear cameras, IP68 water and dust resistance3300mAh battery with wireless charging causalities, Android 7.1.1. out of the box, and an upgraded S-Pen that makes the Note line so special.
The Galaxy Note8 will be available starting in mid-September and will be offered in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Maple Gold and Deepsea Blue.
