Like many of me friends I see online, I’ve been enjoying Capcom’s latest, Monster Hunter: World. While a popular series already, I will admit that I’ve actually never played a Monster Hunter game before. It’s not that I never wanted to, I just never got around to it. However, with Monster hunter World, I was hooked upon viewing the first trailer back at E3 2017.
The game just came out on Friday and I’ve already logged quite a bit of time in it. Most of my time so far has been spent just exploring the beautifully designed open world, while also making some time to slowly progress through the story. I want my experience to last so I’m savoring every moment. With that said, my first hour with the game went by super quickly.
The first 20 minutes was spend just creating my character and my cat companion, but it sure didn’t feel like 20 minutes. The rest of the time was spent on the introduction – what the story is about, where I was headed, and a brief tutorial thrown in. It honestly went by so quickly because I was just caught up in everything I saw. It’s paced quite well and I never felt like I just wanted to skip it all so I could get straight into the action. That says a lot about a game when you actually want to see and experience everything.
With that said, I’ll be posting a lot more video of Monster Hunter World. I have a playlist set up here so check back often for more video as I progress through the game.
