Mixcder E10 Active Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones | Review

Mixcder E10 Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones

It’s been a long time since I’ve looked at anything from Mixcder. That’s mainly because their products are usually on the low end side of things. While they sound great, I was never impressed with their overuse of plastic. Their new Mixcder E10 however changes all that with the use of much better materials and the inclusion of Active Noise Cancellation.

While the Mixcder line has always look decent from afar, picking them up always gave the impression of being a tad too toy-like. The plastic bodies always felt way to light despite them being comfortable to wear. Mixcder probably took notice of what people were saying because their new E10 model is unlike any of their previous models. We’re talking a metal reinforced band, metal folding hinges, metal sizing extenders, and even the ear cups have some metal accents now. There is still some plastic, but it’s a lot less than what they used to use.

The headband is generously padded and I believe is made of that vegan leather stuff. Same goes for the ear pads which are very soft and mold well around your ears. Inside each cup, you’ll also see in very large text, L and R so you’ll never be confused which way to put these on.

What I do like that Mixcder kept with the E10 that they’ve had on all their previous headphones are the physical buttons. While touch controls are all the rage right now, sometimes they can get a little wonky and with real buttons, you can always feel around for them. There’s a button everything including enabling and disabling the Active Noise Cancellation.

Next up, the Mixcder E10 also comes with its own slim carrying case that help protect and store the E10 when not in use.

So what do these new Mixcder E10 headphones sound like? They sound great. These feature large 40mm drivers that can out put frequencies between 20Hz and 20000Hz. That basically just means you get a full range of audio from deep base to high highs. With the Mixcder E10, I tested these out on a wide selection of different types of music from all different genres and they did exceptionally well reproducing all of it. Bass what nice and deep while the treble was tight and clean. The Active Noise Cancellation also did a great job with filtering out all the excessive outside noise so I could enjoy my tunes more fully.

Lastly, battery life on these are pretty good. You’ll get around 30hours of playtime if you use them without ANC and around 24hours with it turned on. Bluetooth 5.0 is also on board for a fast, reliable connection.

Final Thoughts

While the new Mixcder E10 aren’t the best looking headphones I’ve seen, Mixcder is heading in the right direction. These are much better looking than their previous models and the use of better materials really gives them a much different first impression. In fact, I honestly couldn’t believe the difference both in appearance and weight and the Mixcder E10 feels much more like an adult premium headphone and less like a child’s toy.

With that said, these are a solid outing from Mixcder and I believe the best headphones they make right now. If they keep this up, I can’t wait to see what they come out with next.
