The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Nintendo Switch is the Best Version and Here’s Why.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Complete Edition

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt by CD Projekt Red is arguably one of the best RPG games of our generation. It has everything from gorgeous graphics, a deep and engaging story with full voice overs, hours and hours of quests and side quests, and some of the best combat you’ll find in any game. Basically you get your money’s worth and more with The Witcher 3. The issue I had was just how vast the game is and the amount of time needed to complete the game along with all of its DLC content. I originally own the game on PS4 and even with the hours of time I put into it, I wasn’t even close to finishing it. I never even got into the DLC stuff because I never finished the main content.

Part of the problem for me at least, was that I had to sit in front of a television to play it. I had to make time to sit there without any distractions to really get into it, and that’s more difficult that it sounds. You see, when The Witcher 3 first came out, me and my wife had our first child. That means trying to juggle sleepless nights, work, food runs, and free time. Can you guess which one of those was at the bottom of my list of priorities? Needless to say, I have never finished the base game nor played any of the DLC content I bought.

That’s where the Nintendo Switch version of The Witcher 3 comes in. I picked up the game lat month and haven’t been able to put it down since. While the graphics are definitely not as good as the PS4 version or any version to that affect, I honestly don’t see much of a difference when playing it on such a small screen. What makes this version better than all others however is the fact that I can play it anywhere. That means I can play it in my bed, on the toilet, sitting on a random couch in my house, or even outdoors. I can play it anywhere. Not only that, I can instantly play it, meaning I can stop where ever I am in the game and pick up exactly where I left off without needing to load anything or wait for my console to boot up. There no more need for me really to wait until a check point to continue or load up my last save point.

And that’s why the Nintendo Switch version is the best version…for me. I can play the game whenever and where ever I have free time and because of that, I’m the furthest I’ve ever been in the game. I did have to start a whole new story however since this didn’t have cross save and also because I completely forgot how to play the game, but I caught up and passed where I was many moons ago. So if you have a Nintendo Switch and want to actually finish or play the Witcher 3, I highly recommend this version. It might not be the best looking version, or the cheapest version, but it has all content included and you might actually be able to finish the game.
