I don’t know about you, but it’s been several years since I’ve enjoyed Destiny 2. I was a huge fan of the original Destiny and while I did enjoy Destiny 2 at the beginning, it just didn’t quite feel the same, and Bungie/Activision was making some weird decisions with it that rubbed me the wrong way. So I stopped playing.
Now comes along The Witch Queen expansion and I decided to give it a shot and guess what? I am in love with the game again. Another factor may have been because I had given Halo Infinity a try and while I also loved that game, it just turned stale with repetitive multiplayer. Destiny 2 however has way more end game content, more seasonal events, as well a great variety of game modes whether it be solo or with a group of friends or randoms. Also if you’re a loot addict, there’s the very addicting grind of trying to collect all the exotics and proper god-tier rolls for legendary weapons and armor.
Aside from that, the road to 1560 light level has also kept me playing and the daily rotation of Legend Lost Sectors and weekly Nightfalls. I’m just waiting for my group to catch up to me so we can play Grandmaster Nightfalls and eventually the Raids.
If you aren’t playing Destiny 2, I suggest downloading the free-to-play version first which actually includes a ton of free content as well as some trial content from each of its DLCs. Then you can decide if you want to invest some money into it. It’s available for almost all platforms and is crossplay compatible, so pick it up on your favorite platform.
