The Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i is the company’s newest gaming monitor. This is a 27-inch gaming beast featuring HDR1000, 180Hz refresh rate, FreeSync, and 1ms response times. It also features 1152-zone Mini LED backlighting for amazing picture quality and brightness along with it being a QHD IPS Quantum dot panel. This is a gaming monitor built to impress with a price that doesn’t break the bank.

DESIGN

The Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i is a very attractive monitor. The front is clean with very tiny bezels, and the rear is designed to be stylish, without being overly showy. What I mean by that is that it is tastefully designed with white accents and a light ring for added pop.

On the rear where the different ports are, there is an included cover you can use to hide the ports and keep the monitor and cabling looking extra clean. Speaking of ports, the monitor includes plenty of them with 2xHDMI and 2xDisplayPort ports along with a single AUX port for audio.

For buttons, there’s only one and it’s a combo joystick/button. It is used to adjust all aspects of the Xiaomi G Pro 27i with menus that re easy to navigate. The button is placed in an easy to reach location on the back right of the monitor.

As for the stand, it’s a double forked leg design that seems very sturdy but does take up a bit of desktop space. I am a fan of the height adjustment , tilt, and pan.

Overall, a great design that would look at home in a a gaming set up or even a work at home environment.

EXPERIENCE

I’m not going to get deep into any specs or crazy technical data. Instead, I’m going to jump right into and say the Xiaomi G Pro 27i is very impressive and I’ll get into why. For starters, the first thing that came to mind was just how bright it was. At full brightness, the whites on display are super white and almost blinding. But what this also means is that the colors on the display really pop and are so vibrant. What I mean by that is that the color reproduction just looks so rich and they don’t look muted.

Compared to my regular display, the picture just looks so much better. The black looks so much blacker, while the white definitely looks whiter. There’s a good amount of contrast too.

In terms of picture quality, the QHD display is crisp and sharp. The brightness really helps the picture pop, and it’s one of the things that makes this monitor so special. On top of that, the 180Hz refresh rate makes games look buttery smooth.

For the most part, I love everything about the Xiaomi G Pro 27i, although there could still be some improvements. For example, there isn’t an included USB port like on some other monitors, and there’s also no built-in speakers. Though speakers aren’t necessary, it would have been a nice bonus.

FINAL THOUGHTS

While the Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i is a bit smaller than my main gaming monitor, I’m seriously thinking of making it my main gaming monitor. The reason is that the picture quality looks so much better. It’s sharper, has a higher refresh rate, and it’s a whole lot brighter. The colors also look so much better that I don’t think I can go back to my other monitor for games now.

With that said, the Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i is very impressive. I love pretty much everything about it from the design to the specs and you will too if you ever get a chance to check one out.
