HYPERyuki Brings SSX-Style Snowboarding to Switch 2 in Early 2027

HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate is an arcade snowboarder from Mexican indie studio Wabisabi Games and publisher Acclaim, made as a throwback to the fast, stylish extreme-sports games of the Y2K era. It was shown during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase on October 28, with a new trailer focused on the Switch 2 version.

The idea is simple: go big, go fast, and look good doing it. You’ll catch huge air, chain tricks into combos, and carve through courses inspired by real-world places, whether you’re playing docked on the TV or handheld on the go. The rider roster is deliberately over-the-top, including a sentient snowboarding taco and a giant kaiju.

  • Challenge: Complete objectives, ride rails, collect trinkets, and land tricks to chase the highest score and the top of the leaderboard.
  • Race: Speed down the slopes against computer riders or other players, where landing tricks builds up your boost, so style and speed have to work together.
  • Chill: A calm, endless mode for hanging around the tracks, enjoying the view, and possibly finding secrets along the way. –
  • Multiplayer: Play online with up to eight players total, or play locally with split-screen so friends can still ride side by side. – **Steam demo:** A demo on Steam is planned for next month.
