WARNING: NOT SAFE FOR KIDS. THIS GAME IS RATED M FOR MATURE.
Now that the warning is out of the way, Zombie fans rejoice because Capcom’s Dead Rising 2: Case Zero is almost upon us which means that Dead Rising 2 isn’t far behind.

Dead Rising 2: Case Zero is a stand alone game that bridges the gap between the original Dead Rising game and the upcoming Dead Rising 2 sequel. With Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, we are introduced to the new protagonist in the game, Chuck Greene. Chuck’s life takes a turn for the worst when a a zombie outbreak occurs in Las Vegas where his wife is killed and his daughter becomes infected with the zombie virus. Chuck must now leave Las Vegas with his daughter in order to find a cure for her (the drug Zombrex) before she becomes a full fledged zombie.

The main part of the game happens in a small town called Still Creek. All seems well there until the containment area is breached and all hell breaks loose. Zombies begin pouring into the town and to make matters worse, Chuck and his daughter have no way of escaping because his truck has been stolen. That leaves Chuck with the only option he has, fight to survive and search for doses of Zombrex to keep his daughter from turning.

Dead Rising 2: Case Zero will feature game play exactly like Dead Rising 2 when it is released which means that players will be able to create their own hybrid weapons and will be able to gain Prestige Points for leveling up. What is great about Dead Rising 2: Case Zero is that and experience points gained during the game will carry over to Dead Rising 2 when it is released. That includes Player Level, to a maximum of five, Prestige Points alongside skills, Combo Cards and a number of alternate outfits.
Capcom’s Dead Rising 2: Case Zero will be released exclusively for Xbox Live on August 31st, 2010 for 400MS Points.
