Microsoft Posts E-Book About Safe Computing for Teens (or Constantly Infected Co-Workers)

Microsoft released a free e-book today aimed at teens that is supposed to teach them about safe online computing by safeguarding their computer from online threats. Own Your Space, which is the title of the book, talks about such subjects as phishing, SPAM, malware, trojans, cyberbullies, social networks, and other such topics.

I had a chance to skim the book and it’s actually very informative. So informative in fact that not only teens can benefit from a read through. I have plenty of internet-brain dead co-workers here that I plan on giving this book to as a day doesn’t go by when I need to clean someone’s computer of malware or fake anti-virus apps.

Own Your Space is a good 250+ page book so its filled with quite a bit of useful information. It’s really a good read for anyone who wants to brush up on their internet threats. You can get Own Your Space here on Microsoft’s website.
