Catapult Madness by Armor Games is light-hearted physics-based game that is very simple to play but offers hours of time wasting enjoyment. In Catapult Madness, you play the part of a King who’s castle is being attacked by trolls. It’s up to you to get word out to the neighboring castle in order to request help from them. To do so, you’ll have to catapult your fellow peasants as far as you can in order for them to reach the other castle. Catapult Madness may seem simple, but as you’ll see when you start playing, getting good distance isn’t as easy as it sounds.

For starters, in order to reach the neighboring castle, you’ll have to catapult some one an impressive 50,000 feet. You begin with a pretty wimpy catapult that barely gets you even close to your target objective. You’ll have to keep trying numerous times so that you can earn money and use that towards upgrades and power-ups. The amount of money you earn depends on how far you catapult your peasant and how many targets he can hit along the way as he flies through the sky and bounces on the ground. Targets include anything from trolls, tents, birds, bombs, etc. Because you’ll need to earn money to upgrade your gear, you’ll be playing Catapult Madness for quite some time until you finally upgrade everything.

Catapult Madness can be a bit repetitive, but I see this game as more of a casual game that you pick up now and then when you want to play a few rounds. I find myself doing that every so often when I have a few minutes to spare here and there and feel like launching some peasants.

Final Thoughts

Catapult Madness is a fun little game that can be fun for the whole family. There really isn’t too much involved besides trying to get the most distance out of each round but it’s always fun trying to see how much further you can get. I do like the fact that the game is GameCenter enabled so that I can compare my results with that of my friends who are also playing it. Catapult Madness may not have all that much depth, but its fun to play and in the end that’s what matters most when you want something to play.
