iBaby Buttons is a very simple, children’s app from developers Software Smoothie. This game is mainly for very young children who are just learning about the world around them and all the different sights and sounds they can discover. If your kids are old enough to tap on the screen, they are old enough to play with this app. Most of iBaby Buttons consists of tapping on the screen to reveal buttons that when pressed, feature and object with its own unique sound clip. It’s very random so each time a child plays with this app, it’s never really the same.
The app itself is quite basic. Once you start it, you are presented with a blank playing area. Tapping anywhere on the area creates large colorful buttons. You can create as many buttons as you want and can even drag them around to rearrange them. Tapping on each button again flips them over to reveal 1/50 different images, each with their own sound clips. Tap on the button again and it disappears. You can do this over and over again for as long as you want.
iBaby Buttons is a good introduction into the world of interactivity for children. It’s very simple for them to use and the various sights and sounds will keep them entertained for quite some time as well as provide plenty of stimulation. There are plenty of different images and sounds so for the most part, they’ll have a different experience each time they play it. This is really an app for those kids just starting out so I wouldn’t really recommend it if you’re planning on buying this for much older children.
