One of my favorite genres of games to play on my iPad are puzzle games. I don’t know why, but I find them quite relaxing despite the fact that they really give your brain a workout. Anytime I come across something different and unique, I have to download it just to satisfy my curiosity. Envelope HD certainly caught my eye. It’s a rather unique puzzle game that is hard to explain in words but one I think that should be experienced.
Basically the game presents you with a geometric shape. You must mimic the same shape using a different shape that is given to you. Manipulate that shape by pulling and overlapping edges until it matches exactly the shape on top. It starts off fairly simple and you think it’s going to be like that for the rest of the game, but the difficulty ramps up quickly and soon you’ll be scratching your head as to what to do. Luckily, there is a slider at the bottom that can clue you in as to how to solve the puzzle. Only use this as a last resort if it’s really stumping you.
If you watch the trailer below, you can kind of get the feel of how the game plays. I guarantee Envelope HD will be something you’ve never played before or experienced. All I know is that it now has a permanent place on my iPad.
