Dell XPS 13 Fingerprint Reader Stops Working After Sleep Mode Activates

I’ve finally run into my first little issue with the Dell XPS 13 and most likely, it’s a software issue that requires a driver update that isn’t available yet. For some reason now when the Dell goes into sleep mode, if you wake it and try to use the fingerprint reader with Windows Hello, it doesn’t work anymore. It doesn’t even show up as an available login option. The fingerprint reader is completely gone. The only way to “fix” the issue is to restart the system and the fingerprint reader magically reappears again and works just fine. That is until the computer goes back into sleep mode and then it’s disabled again.

Needless to say, this is an issue that is a tiny bit annoying because of how much I’ve come to rely on the fingerprint reader to quickly sign in. According to what I’ve read online, the issue seems to be the latest update to Windows 10. Mine happens to be Version 1703, OS Build 15063.413. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
