Looking for a “smart” phone mount for your vehicle that allows hands-free access to Alexa? Look no further than the iOttie Easy One Touch Connect Pro. The iOttie Easy One Touch Connect Pro is a smartphone car mount with Alexa built-in, meaning you have the ability to access thousands of Alexa skills with just your voice.
To get started, you’ll need to download the iOttie Connect App to your smartphone and set up an account. You’ll also need to have the Alexa app on your phone too so you can add the iOttie Easy One Touch Connect Pro as an authorized Alexa device on your account. You will need to find a place to mount the iOttie Easy One Touch Connect Pro in your car, so either on your dash somewhere or on the windshield. There is a small circle mount you can put on the dash to mount it on, or use the suction cup mount on the windshield.
What I like about the iOttie Easy One Touch Connect Pro is that it’s an arm that can be contracted, extended, and bent to accommodate almost any dash and windshield position. Once you find the right spot for it, just attach the Micro-USB cable to the back to power the mount for Alexa. Placing your phone on the mount is a simple affair too as you just have to squeeze the Easy One Touch mechanism and it’ll open up the clamps. Put your phone on the mount and trigger the button on the back and the clamps will close to secure your phone.
That’s pretty much it. In combination with iOttie Connect and Alexa, Alexa Auto mode will engage. Alexa works pretty well here and is a great way to get Alexa into your vehicle if you are an Alexa user. The microphones pick up your voice perfectly and I had zero issues getting Alexa to activate, even when my radio was on.
The only negative with the iOttie Easy One Touch Connect Pro is the lack of wireless charging. This is strictly just a mount so you’ll need to attach a cable to your phone if you want to charge while you drive.
