Standing desks are all the rage right now mainly due to their health benefits. For instance, they can help lower the risk of heart disease, weight gain, back pain, and even blood sugar. This is because using a standing desk decreases the amount of time you’re sitting and you’re still able to complete all your normal work as you would if you were sitting. It’s a nice balance as you can choose to do both with many of these newer standing desks. For instance, we’re taking a look at the FlexiSpot Comhar All-In-One Standing Desk which features an all-metal frame, a chipboard tabletop, an electronically controlled motor-powered lifting mechanism, and a built-in storage drawer. It’s everything you’d want in a regular desk with the health benefits of a standing desk.

DESIGN AND FEATURES
The FlexiSpot Comhar Standing Desk features a very modern, minimalistic design. The table basically consists of four parts – the tabletop, leg frame, and two feet. However, there are actually more parts than that if you take a closer look but FlexiSpot makes the desk so that there are only four parts to put together, making installation of the desk a breeze.
The tabletop comes as one unit but includes the slide-out storage drawer, and the height adjustment + charging control panel all already pre-installed. The two legs come as one unit that is connected to each other as a rectangular frame that you just bolt into place on the tabletop. This frame also includes the height adjustment motor which you would have to connect to the control panel. Lastly, the two long feet get bolted to each leg and you’re basically done with the built. It took me and my son literally 10 minutes to put this together.

Once it’s all put together, the Comhar Standing Desk looks pretty nice. It’s about 48″ wide and 24″ deep which is plenty of usable space for a laptop, extra display, mouse, keyboard, and some extras. The total thickness of the tabletop with the chipboard is about 2″, which is pretty thick. In terms of total height, at its lowest settings, you’re looking at about 28.3″ and at its tallest setting, about 47.6″. That’s quite a big range of adjustments you can have. Not only that, it takes about 1-second to move 1″.
Another notable design element is the integrated all-in-one keypad which allows for precision adjustments and lets you program four presets for height. It also has integrated USB charging ports for your devices. There are two USB-A ports and one USB-C port.

EXPERIENCE
The FlexiSpot Comhar All-In-One Standing Desk is a solid desk, and I mean that in both the physical nature of it and the fact that it has features you want. The all-metal frame will keep the table from ever warping down the middle due to weight and the metal feet have really nice adjusters to keep everything level. I appreciate the storage drawer and though it might not be the biggest drawer, it can hold a lot of the tools I use for 3D printing as well as extra cables and miscellaneous items.
The coolest feature however is the motorized height adjustment. I love that all you need to do is press a button to lift or lower it and the display will show the height that it is at. I also love that you can program up to 4 presets for height so that you can keep your favorite settings on hand.
There’s plenty of usable space on the tabletop as well and in my case, I’m using the space for 3D printing so it fits my 3D printer just fine, along with a laptop and cutting board. Even then, there’s still plenty of unused space.
I should mention that there are optional casters that you can purchase for the FlexiSpot Comhar All-In-One Standing Desk if you want to roll the desk around.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I am very impressed with the FlexiSpot Comhar All-In-One Standing Desk. I love the minimalist design and clean lines as well as the motorized height adjustment. That’s actually my favorite thing about the desk and just how smooth the up and down motions are. The ability to program presets is a welcomed feature as well as being able to see the actual height measurements.
So with that said, there’s also the issue of the supposed health benefits of a standing desk. While it could be argued whether or not there are actually any real benefits, all I know is that it is nice to stand every now and then instead of sitting all day and it does help keep your blood circulating more. For those who are workaholics, a standing desk lets you work while you’re up and stretching. That’s a big plus from a normal desk.
