VOLTME Revo 140W PD3.1 GaN Charger Review

VOLTME Revo 140W GaN Charger

It’s 2023 and unless you haven’t upgraded your devices in the past 10 years or so, it may come as a shock to you that there are many devices now that don’t come with a charger. Many smartphones don’t have one anymore and there could be a time when you’ll find them missing from tablets and laptops as well. This is mainly because more and more devices now share the same type of ports now, with many opting to use USB-C (including Apple), aside from the iPhone which still uses Lightning ports. But we’re now heading to a point where even laptops can now charge with a common connector. So instead of having to carry around several different chargers for each device, we can now carry just one charger and some cables to meet all our needs. That for example the VOLTME Revo 140W PD3.1 GaN Charger. This is a multi-device charger that features 3 x charging ports, PD 3.1, QC 5.0, and PPS fast charging protocols, and a compact design for ease of carrying.

DESIGN & SPECS

The VOLTME Revo 140, which is what we’ll shorten this to for the sake of the review, is a rectangular box not unlike what you’d find included with the iPad or Macbook. However, it’s black instead of white and has a bit more style with the dimpled pattern along the sides. You’ll also notice that there are three charging ports on the front instead of one, with two of them being USB-C ports and one being a USB-A port. There’s also a small light in the shape of their logo that lights up when there’s power running through the charger.

In terms of specs, you’re looking at a charger that can support almost all fast charging standards right now. It’s powered by the latest 3rd Generation GaN Power IC & the latest PD 3.1 & QC 5.0 & PPS charging protocols. Because it’s 140W, you can charge two laptops at the same time at 65W each or one laptop at the full 140W. Basically what this means is you can charge many devices simultaneously at full fast charging speeds.

EXPERIENCE

The VOLTME Revo 140 was able to charge everything I threw at it. It had no trouble at all super fast charging all my phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Fold 3. I was also able to fast charge an iPad Mini 6 and my Macbook Air M1 at full speeds. If you want to use this to charge something like a Nintendo Switch, note that it will also work for this as well.

What I also like about the VOLTME Revo 140 is the fact that it does not feel hot when in use. Some other charges I’ve used in the past feel really hot when they are charging devices. That’s a big plus because I always get kind of scared when electronics feel super hot.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I actually really like the VOLTME Revo 140W GaN Charger. I love that it has three charging ports with two of them being USB-C and one being USB-A. That means I can still use some of my older cables with this as well. On top of that, because of the multiple ports, I’m able to carry just one charger for all my devices. I just need to carry some extra cables, which I would rather do than carry more chargers.

The VOLTME Revo 140W GaN Charger is near perfect as far as I can tell and for now, is my everyday carry charger for work and travel.
