Catch Halloween Candy by developer Minimax Games is a simple candy catching game that utilizes your iPhone tilt sensors. By tilting your device you can move your character left or right to catch candy corn falling out of the sky. Be careful though because you also have to avoid falling pumpkins and spiders that try to get you. Get hit 7 times and it’s RIP.

Even though Catch Halloween Candy is Halloween themed, it’s still a decent family friendly game that your children should enjoy. It’s a very simple game they can play and having 7 lives makes it less frustrating for them as they get more chances to collect candy and the game won’t end so quickly.

Catch Halloween Candy is OpenFeint enabled so you can compare scores with your friends as well as others on the leaderboards. There are however no achievements. Minimax does however state that they will add Game Center support and achievements in a future update.

There are a few things that I would like to see in a future update. Minimax could in essence change the game and include some different holiday themes so it’s not limited to just Halloween and can be enjoyed year round. It’s something that could be done to expand the game past it’s current Halloween iteration.

Catch Halloween Candy is available now in the App Store for free. It is ad supported but you can turn ads off with an in app purchase.
