Zepi: Classic HD is a matching puzzle game from developers OstinGames. It’s a relatively simple game where the premise is to match up different colored orbs and try to form as big of a chain as possible. Unlike other matching games, this one you don’t move pieces around to match up colors. Instead what you do here is tap all the orbs that are the same color in order to form a chain. The more orbs of the same color you tap, the higher the score you’ll get. You have to tap on the orbs fairly quickly because if you slow down and take too long, the chain will be broken and you’ll only get points for what you formed. It’s a challenging game that will test surely test your hand-eye coordination.
The game is played on a board with a circle in the middle. Colored orbs fall from all around the board and fall towards the middle circle. The orbs that fall down are of various sizes and colors. This adds a bit of variety and also makes the game a bit more chaotic as there is no uniform way the orbs fall. Tap on orbs of the same color to create a chain, but do it quickly or else they won’t link up. If you aren’t fast enough and the entire board fills up with orbs, it’s game over.
On the graphics side of things, Zepi: Classic HD looks very good. Very colorful and everything is so large that it makes the gameplay more fluid and fast so that you can concentrate more on tapping and less about being frustrated because the pieces are too small. The game also features two different themes that you can use to skin the game. There is the classic colored orb mode or you can play the slightly more visually exciting bugs mode where all the orbs are now colorful little bugs.
Zepi: Classic HD is a fun, challenging, matching game for your iPad. It’s a bit different from many of the other matching style puzzle games so it’s not going to be something similar to anything you’ve played lately, unless you’ve played some of the other Zepi games. It’s one of those games that is hard to put down especially since you’ll want to try and beat your highest score each time you play. Games like this have tons of replay value and Zepi: Classic HD is no different.
