My Laboratory is a world creation puzzle game, though one that is quite unique. The goal of the game is this, your planet can no longer support life so it’s your duty to colonize a new planet from scratch using the four basic elements – earth, air, water, and fire. With these four elements, you must create what you need to sustain life on this new planet, everything from oceans and land masses to animals, technology, and cities. Using your laboratory, you’ll need to combine the four elements along with new elements you discover in order to make this all happen.

The game is actually simple enough to play. All you have to do is drag two elements into the slots above and hope they make something. I say hope because you need to figure out exact combinations of elements in order for them to form something, for example water + earth = mud or fire + water = steam. There are 200 elements to discover before your new “Earth” is complete and finding them all will be a challenge. Some of the elements you can form will be obvious, but others will come with luck.

In terms of how the app looks, it has a fairly simple look to it, but still look good with great artwork. It however lacks any sort of audio so it’s a silent app so you’ll maybe want to play this with some of your own tunes running in the background.

Overall, My Laboratory is a challenging, casual puzzle game that you work at at your own pacing. There will be a lot of trial and error involved in creating elements and objects, but over time, you should be able to create everything you need. Just be patient and persistent.
