From the makers of ABC Gurus comes Star Gurus, a followup to developer Coltos’ ABC learning app. While the previous app taught ABCs, Star Gurus concentrates on numbers. It’s a cute game for small children that can teach them how to count numbers in order via connect the dots style mini games.
Star Gurus is a very simple app for kids to pick up and play. Basically for each level, they just have to tap on the numbers in the correct order to reveal what the picture is. It uses star constellations as its theme. If your child already know their numbers, going through the various levels should be a breeze. If they don’t, there’s no reason to worry as Star Gurus helps them out along the way. Tapping incorrect numbers in order will cause the correct numbers to flash and pulsate while tapping on the correct one will have the narrator speak that number. When they’ve completed the puzzle, a picture will appear.
What’s rather neat about Star Gurus is that it can grow with your child’s understanding of numbers. once they’ve masters counting in order, you can set to the app to teach them how to count by even and odd numbers and by 10s.
With that said, Colto I think has another hit on their hands with Star Gurus. It’s a solid counting app that should help your young kids get better at counting and recognizing numbers. Not only that, parents will appreciate the fact that Star Gurus has ZERO popup ads or any ads in general. It’s very child friendly in that respect. Overall, I’d recommend Star Gurus for anyone who has small children just learning their numbers. It’s a free app anyways so it’s worth a look.
